“Love Country - Love Westerville” has been chosen as the theme for Rotary’s July 4th parade.  Gavin Mager, a first grade student in Jason McQuown’s class at Alcott Elementary School, came up with the winning submission and won $100 and a place of honor in the big 4th of July parade.  Gavin and his family were the guests of honor at the Rotary Club of Westerville luncheon held on April 23 at Villa Milano.

The Rotary Club of Westerville sponsors the theme contest, which this year drew 363 entries from 15 elementary schools in the community.  All classrooms with 100% participation in the competition were also entered into a drawing to win a pizza party.  That was won by students at St. Paul School.
