Westerville City Schools Superintendent Dr. John Kellogg was a guest reader who visited Wilder Elementary School on March 6.
To celebrate Read Across America, Wilder Elementary staff invited members of the Westerville community to come into the building and read to students on Friday morning, March 6. In addition to school staff, volunteer readers included Chelsea Welen, Program Supervisor at the Westerville Senior Center; Westerville Fire Inspector Jeff Lear; and Westerville Mayor Diane Fosselman. Each participant was encouraged to share their love of reading by bringing their favorite picture book. The children thoroughly enjoyed being read to by their special visitors.
