Third grade students meet with Alcott Principal Joseph Uher to discuss ideas for their new History Club.
Third grade Alcott Elementary School students Caden Edmunds and Zach Dieter just can’t get enough history. They like the subject so much, in fact, that they recently approached Principal Joseph Uher with the idea of forming an Alcott History Club. With the assistance of Mr. Uher and some parent volunteers, the duo created an agenda of topics and a schedule to follow during the meetings. Seventeen students signed up to meet weekly for the purpose of researching and discussing topics including Roman History, the Civil War, World War II, the American Presidency and September 11. The club will meet the first Tuesday of each month until the end of the school year.
