Westerville Central to Host Internet and Social Media Safety Seminar

At 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, September 10, Westerville Central High School will host an hour-long seminar called, “Internet and Social Media Safety.”  Parents are invited to attend the meeting, which will be presented by Westerville Police Officer Thomas “Corey” Baker and Genoa Police Officer Joe Graham.  Topics to be covered include:

  • Things to watch for on the internet and your child’s phone or technical device;
  • New trends and apps your child or others might be using or trying to use;
  • New and already existing laws, rules and regulations around technology usage; and
  • Consequences for misuse of technology (regardless of age).

The event will be held in the Westerville Central High School auditorium, which is located at 7118 Mt. Royal Avenue.  Registration is not required, but it is suggested that participants arrive early.
