Mr. Laswell has taught instrumental music for the past fourteen years, ten of them in Westerville City Schools. He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Ohio Northern University, his Masters of Music in Music Education from Kent State University, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Ohio Dominican University with a Teacher-Leader Endorsement. Mr. Laswell currently teaches World Cultures in Music at Blendon and Heritage Middle Schools, and also co-teaches Band and Choir courses. For 9 years Mr. Laswell was the Director of Bands at South High School from 2013-2022. He lives in Hilliard with his wife Emily, children Rylee and Jack, and their nine-year old beagle, Cooper.
