John Vermeulen is the Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble Director at Westerville Central High School and String teacher at Blendon Middle School.   Before teaching in Westerville, he taught in Dallas, Texas and Mansfield, Ohio. Mr. Vermeulen grew up in Westerville, graduating from Westerville South H.S. in 1977. He received his B.M. in Music Education and Jazz Studies from Capital University in 1981 and his M.M in Jazz Studies and Orchestral Conducting from the University of North Texas in 1989.
