Welcome to my webpage!  I am currently in my 9th year as a teacher librarian/media specialist at Fouse Elementary School and Emerson Elementary School.  Prior to my current position I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade.  I graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in elementary education and the Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!) with a Masters of Art in Language, Literacy, and Culture.  I completed my library science work at Kent State University.  I live in Lewis Center, Ohio with my husband Jim, a middle school technology teacher, and our son Adam (age 7) and our daugher EmmeClaire (age 4). 

My favorite books to read are picture books.  I have a true passion for the art of creating picture books.  Adam, EmmeClaire and I read LOTS of picture books and I found I needed a way to keep track of all the books, thus Buckeye Bookworm began.  Here is a link to my picture book blog
