I teach Reading Intervention to k - 3rd grade students at Cherrington Elementary.  We practice reading strategies for accuracy, fluency and reading comprehension.  We also help students with decoding word strategies. 

If we have a Snow Day, students in Mrs. Hammondb 1st - 3rd grade reading classes should read books they already have in their at home book box. Students should read at least 20 minutes each day and retell the book to an adult. If the student is in Kindergarten they should practice their letters, letter sounds and their Kindergarten sight words.
